Silk Limousine Packages All standard limousine packages include a minimum three-hour run on weekends and do not include the industrial standard of 15-20% gratuity paid directly to the driver. Price quotes do not include sales tax. Hourly rates are available from Monday through Thursday.
Initial pick-ups in the Chemung County, Corning, Watkins Glen and Waverly area are considered local runs and do not have any additional charges.
Outside the area trips are an increase of approximate 20% of the local prices. We do not charge travel time from our office to the initial pick-up location if less than one-and one-half hours away. Anything over this would require a special quote.
Gratuity to the driver has an industrial standard of 15-20% and is given to the driver the day of the run very similar to how you would tip a waiter or waitress in a restaurant.
Sales tax is not included with our quotes. New York State just implemented an 8% sales tax in June 2009. Sales tax is only calculated when a limousine run begins and ends in New York State. If a run begins or ends in Pennsylvania, sales tax is not required. Should a limousine run cross over into anothe state, but not begin or end in that state, sales tax will still apply. For example a run that begins in Elmira, NY and crosses Pennsylvania with a drop off in New York City, would require sales tax.
