Don't make the mistake of renting limos based on price! Many limo rental consumers base their decision on one thing; price. In most cases it's a mistake to think you're getting the best limo service by paying the least. Like in many industries, you get what you pay for. For every one established limo company there's 3 illegitimate companies underbidding, running without insurance, or hiring inexperienced chauffeurs.
A limousine service is not something you want to gamble on. What happens when you miss your flight, get into an accident with no coverage, or are late to your own wedding? These are things that can and do happen.
Please understand that Silk Limousine operates under a professional work atmosphere with all the proper insurance, chauffeurs that undergo extensive experience and road time, and vehicles that are maintained on a regular basis.
Silk Limousine Packages All standard limousine packages include a minimum three-hour run on weekends and do not include the industrial standard of 15-20% gratuity paid directly to the driver. Price quotes do not include sales tax. Hourly rates are available from Monday through Thursday.
Initial pick-ups in the Chemung County, Corning, Watkins Glen and Waverly area are considered local runs and do not have any additional charges.
Outside the area trips are an increase of approximate 20% of the local prices. We do not charge travel time from our office to the initial pick-up location if less than one-and one-half hours away. Anything over this would require a special quote.
Gratuity to the driver has an industrial standard of 15-20% and is given to the driver the day of the run very similar to how you would tip a waiter or waitress in a restaurant.
Sales tax is not included with our quotes. New York State just implemented an 8% sales tax in June 2009. Sales tax is only calculated when a limousine run begins and ends in New York State. If a run begins or ends in Pennsylvania, sales tax is not required. Should a limousine run cross over into anothe state, but not begin or end in that state, sales tax will still apply. For example a run that begins in Elmira, NY and crosses Pennsylvania with a drop off in New York City, would require sales tax.
Wedding Package A minimum three-hour wedding package includes complimentary soda, water, and champagne, red carpet, just married signs and professionally dressed driver, all fully insured. The three hours would be determined by you regarding how to use the time, but normally can shuttle the groom's party to the church, than pickup the bride's party and take them to the church, ceremony, photos, and drive time and than a final drop-off at the reception.
Prom Package A minimum three-hour prom package includes complimentary soda, water, non-alcoholic-champagne, and professionally dressed driver, all fully insured. The three-hour package can have one split time for the prom itself. In short, we do not charge the time the kids are in the prom, so time can be divided before and after the prom. Split times are NOT available outside of the Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben County areas and NOT available in the Pennsylvania Area. All the parents and youth that will be in the limousine must complete a prom promise. Any evidence of alcohol or other illegal substances will terminate the ride immediately with no refunds. The privacy window MUST remain down at all times and any bags or backpacks MUST be placed in the truck.
School proms
Football Trips – Limousine rides for 10-12 passengers available to Buffalo Bills games and Syracuse Orangeman games. Prices include drive time to and from the games and sitting time during the game. Total amount of time is 12 hours. Additional hours may be purchased in advance at $75 per hour. If you run over your time in the field the additional hourly rate is $100 per hour. Fees do not include game tickets, parking fees, stops along the route and gratuity. Bills games are -- $850 in our white stretch limos and are $950 in our Navigator. Syracuse Orangeman -- $700 in our white stretch limos and are $800 in our Navigator.
Casino Night Package – For the gambling urge, but without the hassle of driving, enjoy our Casino runs to Seneca/Allegany (Salamanca) and Turning Stone (Syracuse) Casinos. Trips and prices include 8 hours of combined driving and play time. We have weekday and Sunday specials for reduced prices. Call for quotes.
Jackal Game Night – Pick-up to and from arena -- $200. Not always available on Saturdays and this price is only good for our local pick-up area. Call for quotes outside of the area.
Stork Mobile Pick-up new born child and mother from Arnot Ogden Medical Center and drive home. Limited to Monday thru Friday only, local travel -- $75 includes gratuity.
SUV Runs – Short or long SUV/sedan runs available for any use to include Southern Tier NY and Northern Tier Pa. trips, wine tours, corporate trips and any other special requests. Airport Trips: Local Elmira-Corning Regional Airport runs up to one-hour are: Sedan-$75, Limousine-$100 not including sales tax and gratuity.
New York City Airport runs: Sedan-$450 Customer pays all parking fees and price does not include sales tax and gratuity
New York City shopping trips • Location pickup and drop-off in the city • Limited to a total of 15-hours to include all drive time and shopping time. • Limousine and sedan runs available
